Thanks for the nice memories of Jack, Phil.
Jack and I played basket ball at Rice school. We then played together at North Side, then we also played together for the Blazers.
We also played summer baseball. He was a very good pitcher, I played 3rd base. For baseball fans, he was the best bunter on that team.
Every team we played on had winning seasons. Most of you will remember that Max Bell would not permit us to have a losing season.
He later taught school in Edwardwardsburg MI
He had a 1952 Ford and loved to come over to my house and take me for rides around Elkhart just for the fun of it.
